We had a chance to check out a brief glimpse of Puzzle Quest 2 last month at GDC, but a recent version of the game from D3 let us dig deeper and explore more details on the game. The original Puzzle Quest had that rare combination of engaging but simple mental puzzles and addictive progression that made hardcore gamers sit and play for dozens of hours, even though the baseline experience was only a few steps past a casual game of Bejeweled. Puzzle Quest 2 is on track to deliver all the familiar mechanics of the original in a great framework of adventure and exploration.
